Starting from CAST AIP 8.3.23, CAST Architecture Checker will no longer be installed as part of the CAST AIP setup, whether installing CAST AIP from scratch or on a server where a previous release of CAST AIP exists. CAST Architecture Checker has evolved into a standalone component where all feature requests and bug fixes are now managed. This standalone component can be downloaded from CAST Extend (https://extendng.castsoftware.com/#/search-results?q=archichecker).

Edit menu
This section provides a detailed description of the contents of the Edit menu within the CAST Architecture Checker:

| Undo | Use this option to undo the most recent change you have made. |
| Redo | Use this option to redo the most recent change you have undone. |
| Settings | Use this option to choose the default storage location for custom Templates:
The default template storage location is set to %USERPROFILE%\Documents, but you can override this if required. |
| Lock dependencies | Use this option to block the creation of dependencies between layers and/or sets. Also available in the Options window / Content window. |
| Lock definitions | Use this option to block the definition of layer and/or set content. Also available in the Options window / Content window. |
