Automatic Adjust Size tab
Tools > Options > Automatic Adjust Size
This page provides an explanation of the various options that can be set to optimize and modify the display of objects in the Graphical View.
By default all object types listed in this tab are selected. This means that any objects displayed in the Graphical View, or those that you place in the view will automatically be expanded to display all information. When an object's corresponding check box is cleared, the object will be displayed in contracted form.
For example:
- Object type selected in dialog box list, thus expanded.
- Object type cleared in dialog box list, thus contracted.
Table
This option specifies how many lines are displayed in tables (each line corresponds to a column within the table). By default this is set to three, but you can increase or decrease this as required.
When you next place a table in the Graphical View, the correct number of lines will be displayed in the table.
Notes
- This option can be very useful, particularly if your SQL tables have many columns. By clearing the Tables check box, all tables are contracted and less room is taken up in the view.
- You can of course, manually expand or contract an object by clicking the small arrow icon in the top right hand corner of an object.
