Opening a concurrent connection
To open a concurrent connection to a server (for example to a server that contains a different Knowledge Base):
- Create a new Profile (if one is not already available) that specifies the server you want to access (File > Connection, select New in the Existing Connections dialog box and then Add in the Open Profile Connection dialog box).
- When the Profile is displayed in the Open Profile Connection dialog box, select it.
- Click Open.
- The connection will be established and will be displayed in the Existing Connections dialog box.
When there are concurrent connections open, every time you launch a feature that requires a server connection (such as running the Assistant), you will be required to choose the connection you want to use in the Existing Connections dialog box.
To close any concurrent connections:
- Select File > Connection from the menu bar - the Existing Connections dialog box will be displayed.
- In the list select the server connection you want to close.
- Click Delete to close the connection.
- The connection will be removed from the list and you will no longer be presented with a choice of servers when you launch a feature that requires a server connection.
